Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the mediating role of production process efficiency in the relationship between lean production and organizational excellence, through an applied study at the Maysan Oils Factory. This was done within the framework of efforts to improve operational performance and enhance the competitiveness of industrial enterprises. The study’s significance stems from its highlighting of lean production as a modern strategic approach and its showcasing of the role of production process efficiency as an intermediary mechanism that contributes to achieving organizational excellence in the industrial environment. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach. The study population consisted of employees at the Maysan Oils Factory, where (122) questionnaires were distributed, of which (107) were returned and deemed valid for statistical analysis, representing a response rate of (87.7%). The data were analyzed using SmartPLS software to test the structural model and the study hypotheses. The results of the study revealed a significant positive effect of lean production on production process efficiency. The results also demonstrated a significant effect of production process efficiency on achieving organizational excellence. The study demonstrated that the efficiency of production processes plays a mediating role in the relationship between lean production and organizational excellence, reflecting the importance of process improvement as a strategic link between lean inputs and excellence outputs. The study recommended promoting the adoption of lean production practices in the plant, focusing on improving the efficiency of production processes by reducing waste, optimizing workflows, and developing employee skills, as well as supporting a culture of continuous improvement to contribute to achieving sustainable organizational excellence.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الدور الوسيط لكفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية في العلاقة بين الإنتاج الرشيق والتميز المؤسسي، من خلال دراسة تطبيقية في معمل زيوت ميسان، وذلك في إطار السعي إلى تحسين الأداء التشغيلي وتعزيز القدرة التنافسية للمؤسسات الصناعية. وتنبع أهمية الدراسة من كونها تسلط الضوء على الإنتاج الرشيق كمدخل استراتيجي حديث، وتُُبرز دور كفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية كآلية وسيطة تسهم في تحقيق التميز المؤسسي في البيئة الصناعية. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتمثّّل مجتمع الدراسة بالعاملين في معمل زيوت ميسان، حيث تم توزيع (122) استبانة، واس رتُر جع منها (107) استبانات صالحة للتحليل الإحصائي، بنسبة استجابة بلغت (%87.7). وقد جرى تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج Smart PLS لاختبار النموذج الهيكلي وفرضيات الدراسة. توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود أثر إيجابي معنوي للإنتاج الرشيق في كفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية، كما أثبتت النتائج وجود أثر معنوي لكفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية في تحقيق التميز المؤسسي. وأظهرت الدراسة أن كفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية تؤدي دورًًا وسيطًًا في العلاقة بين الإنتاج الرشيق والتميز المؤسسي، مما يعكس أهمية تحسين العمليات كحلقة وصل استراتيجية بين المدخلات الرشيقة ومخرجات التميز. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تعزيز تبني ممارسات الإنتاج الرشيق في المعمل، والتركيز على تحسين كفاءة العمليات الإنتاجية من خلال تقليل الهدر، وتحسين تدفق العمليات، وتطوير مهارات العاملين، فض الًا عن دعم ثقافة التحسين المستمر بما يسهم في تحقيق التميز المؤسسي المستدام.
