The Role of Blockchain Technology in the Quality of Electronic Services: An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of Individuals Working in A Sample of Private Banks in the City of Mosul

Abstract

The current research seeks to identify the role of blockchain technology in enhancing the quality of electronic services. The research relied on testing blockchain technology as an independent variable, the quality of electronic services as a dependent variable, and an analytical field framework to identify the nature of the correlation and influence relationship between the research variables. The data was collected based on the questionnaire form prepared for this purpose. It was tested using statistical methods in the (SPSS) program. A total of 84 valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis. The research reached a number of conclusions, the most prominent of which was that blockchain technology is characterized by storing data on several servers instead of one central server, as data records linked to an immutable chain are distributed to all computers in the network, which provides high security and reduces the risks to which central warehouses are exposed, represented by technical failures and electronic attacks. Concerning the research proposals, it emphasized the need to increase focus on the quality of electronic services provided by the banks under study to achieve a competitive advantage by conducting marketing research to know the customers’ desires and work to meet them.

يسعى البحث الحالي إلى معرفة دور تكنولوجيا سلسلة الكتل في تعزيز جودة الخدمات الالكترونية، وقد اعتمد البحث على اختبار تكنولوجيا سلسلة الكتل كمتغير مستقل وجودة الخدمات الالكترونية كمتغير تابع، وإطار ميداني تحليلي من أجل التعرف على طبيعة علاقة الارتباط والتأثير بين متغيرات البحث، جُُمعت البيانات بالاستناد إلى استمارة الاستبيان التي اعدت لهذا الغرض، وتم اختبارها باستخدام مجموعة من الأساليب الإحصائية في برنامج (SPSS)، تم استرجاع (84) استمارة صالحة للتحليل، توصل البحث إلى عدد من الاستنتاجات والتي كان من أبرزها أن تكنولوجيا سلسلة الكتل تتميز بكونها تعمل على تخزين البيانات على عدة خوادم بدلاًً من خادم مركزي واحد، اذ توزع سجلات البيانات المرتبطة بسلسلة غير قابلة للتغيير على كافة اجهزة الحواسيب في الشبكة، مما يوفر امناًً عالياًً ويقلل من المخاطر التي تتعرض لها المستودعات المركزية المتمثلة بالأعطال الفنية والهجمات الالكترونية، وفيما يتعلق بمقترحات البحث فقد أكد على ضرورة زيادة التركيز على جودة الخدمات الالكترونية المقدمة من قبل المصارف قيد الدراسة لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية عبر اجراء البحوث التسويقية م لعرفة رغبات الزبائن والعمل على تلبيتها.
